Having already qualified for the World Cup – where Italy will make their first appearance in 20 years – the National Women’s Team will begin their season with a final qualifier against Belgium. The game is scheduled for Tuesday 4th September and will take place at the Lovanio OHL Stadium-King Power (17:00 CEST). The 23 players called up Coach Milena Bertolini will gather on Sunday 26th August at Coverciano, where they’ll then spend a few days training before leaving on September 2nd.
Italy enjoyed a fantastic qualifying campaign in the group, winning all seven of their matches, scoring 18 goals and conceding just two.
