Futsal Head Coach Roberto Menichelli has named 19 players in his squad for the first training camp of the season in Rome from Sunday 10th September to Wednesday 13th September. The Azzurri will arrive in the capital from Sunday afternoon before a series of training sessions at the Pala To Live.
It’s an important event in Rome which opens the season officially for Italy ahead of the European Championship in Slovenia between 30th January and 10th February (draw on 29th September in Ljubljana) and the training camp will allow for general work and evaluations ahead of the first friendlies at the end of the month in Slovakia.
Menichelli’s Azzurri will face the very successful Spain who have won six of the last eight European Championships (with the other two won by Italy) on Tuesday 26th September in Bratislava before facing the home nation the following day in Trnava.
