Come to Coverciano and take part in the first-ever Vivo Azzurro Cup!

Coming as part of the FIGC’s 120th-anniversary celebrations, the Vivo Azzurro Office has organised the first edition of the Vivo Azzurro Cup. This will be a 7-a-side football tournament reserved for Vivo Azzurro card holders and subscribers to the FIGC’s Vivo Azzurro newsletter.

The tournament will be played on Saturday 7th July 2018 at Coverciano in Florence, giving participants a chance to experience the atmosphere of the National Team’s headquarters.

The tournament formula: 

  • 7 vs. 7
  • Two groups of four teams 
  • Each squad will contain a maximum of 11 players
  • 30-minute matches (15-minute halves)
  • The top teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals
  • Finals for 1st and 2nd place and 3rd and 4th
  • Each team will have a coach (selected by members of the community or provided by the FIGC)

  • From 09:30 CEST – Squad call-ups at Coverciano and accreditation
  • 10:30 Dressing rooms 
  • 11:00 Group stage kick-off
  • 14:00 Lunch 
  • 15:30 Semi-finals kick-off 
  • 16:30 Finals kick-off 
  • 17:15 Ceremony

The prizes

The winners of the first Vivo Azzurro Cup will receive a National Team shirt and a VIP experience for Italy vs. Poland on September 7th, which will be the Azzurri’s opening UEFA Nations League encounter. The experience will include a walkabout around the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, a look inside the Azzurri dressing room just before kick-off, access to the Casa Azzurri and also a ticket for the match*.

There will also be prizes for the teams finishing second and third, including acknowledgement for the tournament’s Best Player and Best Goalkeeper.

All participants will receive a gift from the FIGC.

*Travel and accommodation costs will be the responsibility of those taking part.

Useful information

  • Participation at the Vivo Azzurro Cup will be reserved for Vivo Azzurro Stadium cardholders and over-16 subscribers to the FIGC’s Vivo Azzurro newsletter.
  • Each squad will contain a maximum of 11 players
  • It is possible to become one of the team coaches.
  • Participants will have to fit the following criteria:
  • A Vivo Azzurro Stadium cardholder
  • Subscriber to the FIGC’s Vivo Azzurro newsletter.

 N.B. – Candidates will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis.

The FIGC’s Vivo Azzurro office will select those taking part and also put the teams together before the tournament.

The FIGC will pay for the tournament’s organisation, as well as the players’ lunch and insurance. All spending at Coverciano will be the participants’ responsibility. Only tournament subscribers will have access to Coverciano on July 7th.


Participants will be able to register from 08:30 CEST on Friday 18th May. They’ll have to fill out a form that will be published on and the National Team’s social media accounts.
