Italy vs. Netherlands tonight at 20:45 CEST!

Tonight, the Juventus Stadium in Turin will host the friendly between Italy and the Netherlands at 20:45 CEST.

“Perin in goal, Rugani and Romagnoli at centre-back, Zappacosta and Criscito at full-back. Cristante and Bonaventura in midfield with Insigne, Belotti and Verdi in attack.” Roberto Mancini named his team in the press conference before the friendly tomorrow evening against the Netherlands. The Head Coach has changed everything compared to the France match and it’s a chance to make some judgements with a view to the future. “We’ll play against a side that has more experience than we do but like us, they’re in a rebuilding phase. I’m convinced that the Netherlands match will be a good test for the future, the road is still long and we need time but I’m confident.”

Neither Netherlands or Italy will be travelling to the World Cup in Russia and Mancini is keen to turn the page. “We’re looking to build something new and different with young and different players. I don’t believe that we’ll have problems in scoring goals because we have strong and technical players and when we gain more confidence the defence will also improve.”

The Head Coach also responded to question on Balotelli. “Mario has quality, he threw some of it away but thankfully he’s still young and has time to do things again.”
