After starting their season with an impressive win over Slovenia, the Under-18 National Team this time tasted defeat during a 2-1 loss in their second friendly in Sezana.
With an entirely new team compared to the first game, the Azzurrini started well but conceded to Burin in the 8th minute. Italy then got back level in the 25th minute thanks to Rabbi, who capitalised on a fine through ball from Olzer.
Slovenia ended the first half in the lead once again, with Maher Rok getting on the scoresheet in the 34th minute.
The second half saw a series of changes for both teams, with the referee then sending off Prelec in the 70th minute following a poor foul on Armini. The Azzurrini pushed hard for an equaliser in the latter stages, but their Slovenian counterparts held on.
