Italy’s Under-19 side will travel to Belgium tomorrow afternoon where they will aim to advance to the European Championship finals. The competition is scheduled to take place from 2nd to 15th July in Georgia.
The 18 Azzurrini called up by coach Roberto Baronio gathered in Pomezia yesterday evening, before then taking part in a training session on Monday afternoon. Their Elite Round opener will be against Republic of Ireland on Thursday, whilst they will then take on hosts Belgium on Saturday 25. Sweden will be the Azzurrini’s final opponents on Tuesday 28. The three games will be played at the Gemeentelijk Stadium in Hamme, a town that has around 25,000 inhabitants and is located in the Flemish province of East Flanders.
