Italy’s Under-17 side will meet at Milano Marittima on Monday 24 April as they continue their preparations prior to this summer’s European Championship. The competition will take place in Croatia from 3rd to 19th May. Coach Emiliano Bigica has selected 24 players for the forthcoming training camp, during which they will also take part in a friendly against Forlì. Following this Bigica will then name his 18 players for this summer’s tournament.
The Azzurrini will leave for Croatia from Venice on April 30, before then arriving in Opatija were they will be based during the preliminary rounds. Italy have been placed in Group A alongside hosts Croatia, as well as Spain and Turkey. Their three matches will be played at the Stadio Rujevica in Rijeka. The first against Croatia will be held on May 3 (17:45 CEST), whilst they will then take on Spain (17:45) and Turkey (12:00) on the 9th and 12th of May.
