The first fixtures of 2018 have been set for the Under-21 National Team. As host for the 2019 European Championship, preparations for the tournament are continuing with a series of international friendlies in the absence of qualifiers. On Thursday 22nd March, the Stadio Renato Curi in Perugia will host the match against Norway at 18:30 CET.On Tuesday 27th March. The Azzurrini will play in Novi Sad at the Karadjordje Stadium at 18:30 CET against home side Serbia. The team will then visit Portugal on 25th May and France on 29th May with kick-off times and locations to be decided.
There have been three matches in the history of the Under-21 National Team in Perugia. There have been two wins (2-0 vs. Denmark in 1992 and 4-0 vs. Hungary in 1996) and one draw (0-0 vs. Sweden in 1987). There have been two matches against Serbia in Novi Sad with a 1-0 defeat in September 2003 and a 1-1 draw in November 2015.

The most recent meeting finished 1-1 in Tel Aviv during the European Championship finals on 11th June 2013.
