Made in Italy: The best performances from week 31

Here’s where we publish the best player ratings earned by Italians in Serie A as awarded by the country’s bestselling newspapers (La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport).

Salvatore SIRIGU (G 7,5; C 8,G; T 8)     TORINO 1-0 Inter

A decisive performance on Sunday, one that truly made the difference. The first half saw Sirigu pull off a number of top saves to keep out Candreva, while he also produced a fabulous stop to keep out Icardi. His heroics didn’t falter after the interval, as he also thwarted attempts from Karamoh and Skriniar, ultimately playing a crucial role in helping Torino secure a narrow win.

Andrea CONSIGLI (G 7,5; C 8; T 7,5)     Milan 1-1 SASSUOLO

With just 30 seconds remaining, the Neroverdi shot-stopper produced a flying save to tip Bonaventura’s shot just past the post, duly helping his side secure a point at San Siro. Ever-present between the sticks, he continuously kept out the Milan attack, while also taking little blame for Kalinic’s equaliser.

Ciro IMMOBILE (G 7,5; C 7,5; T 6,5)    Udinese 1-2 LAZIO

Grit and determination shone through on Sunday, in a game where Immobile received little touches of the ball. Having scored the initial equaliser, the talented attacker then also provided the assist for Luis Alberto to score the winning goal.
