A second training camp has been scheduled for the most interesting young players eligible to play for Italy. After a positive experience last November, Gian Piero Ventura will coach a squad again at Coverciano. The event had originally been scheduled for 6th to 8th February but the FIGC have now postponed it until 20th to 22nd February due to clashes with Serie A fixtures.
Another three training camps are planned for 10th to 12th April, 1st to 3rd May and 28th to 31 May. There will also be a friendly match at the end of the season.
At the first camp, the average age of Ventura’s squad was 22 years and eight months. AC Milan midfielder Manuel Locatelli was the youngest player at 18 years and eleven months while Empoli defender Federico Dimarco was the second youngest as he turned 19 on 10th November.
