The Under-19 National Team will gather this evening in Milanello for a six-day training camp with just over a month to go before the start of the European Championship finals which will take place in Finland between the 19th and 29th of July. The 27 players called up by Paolo Nicolato will have the first two of the ten scheduled training sessions tomorrow at the Milan training ground.
Italy’s opening fixture at the European Championship will be on Monday 16th July in Vaasa against the hosts Finland. Vassa will be the venue again on Thursday 19th July for the Portugal match before of Sunday 22nd July the side travels to Seinajoki to meeting Norway. The top two sides from each group will qualify for the semi-final with the tournament also offering up five places for the 2019 Under-20 World Cup in Poland. The four semi-finalists and the winner of the playoff between the third-placed sides from the two groups will join the hosts for the World Cup between 25th May and 16th June next year.
