The FIGC and Paolo Vanoli have mutually agreed agreed to terminate his contract with the national team where he was part of Gian Piero Ventura’s staff. Vanoli is embarking on a new chapter in his career after eight years in the technical set-up at Club Italia. He started as a scout, was then a youth coach before taking control of the Under-19 National Team with whom he finished second at the 2015/16 European Championship. After that, Vanoli joined the staff at the senior team at the beginning of the past season.
“After eight unforgettable seasons, the time has come to say goodbye and thank the Federation for this great opportunity for my professional growth and for having given me the chance to contribute to the development of Italian football and our youth teams,” said the former Club Italia coach. “I thank all of the people I’ve had the pleasure of working with during a shared unforgettable experience which I’ll always keep with me and I’ll relive it every time one of our national teams takes to the pitch.”
